     3 Tips to Get Your Small Business Ready for Small Business Saturday 2022

    Small Business Saturday 2022 has already arrived, but that doesn't mean there isn't still time left before we get closer to Small Business Saturday 2023. Start planning today and give yourself plenty of space to work with - because nothing beats being prepared!


    2) Create an Email Opt-In List

    Small business Saturday was created in 2010 as a way to generate additional traffic and sales on November 25th. The event takes place the day after Thanksgiving, traditionally the start of the holiday shopping season.

    In 2020, small business Saturday 2023 will take place on November 23rd. 2020 marks the first year small business Saturday will be held in November instead of December. 

    This change is good news for small businesses looking for more visibility, exposure, and opportunities ahead of the thanksgiving and winter holidays.

    One way you can prepare is by setting up your email opt-in list so you have an email list full of people who have given you their consent and interest in hearing from you. If you do not have an email list set up, now is the time to start building one. Keep it short and sweet! You don't want to bombard your audience with emails that go against what they signed up for (e.g., daily marketing emails). Send content they want when they want it. Lastly, update your blog posts with small business Saturday-related content leading up to this year's event so visitors know that you are ready for small business Saturday 2023!
